The NFL announced today that quarterback AARON RODGERS of the Green Bay Packers and running back ADRIAN PETERSON of the Minnesota Vikings are the Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week for games played on October 9-10. 

Aaron Rodgers threw for 396 yards and two scores in the Packers’ 25-14 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. This is his second consecutive victory in the Air category.

Adrian Peterson rushed for three scores and 122 yards in the Vikings’ 34-10 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

Rodgers and Peterson were selected from among six finalists in Air and Ground categories. The other Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week finalists were quarterbacks MATT CASSEL of the Kansas City Chiefs and BEN ROETHLISBERGER of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and running backs BEN JARVUS GREEN-ELLIS of the New England Patriots and FRANK GORE of the San Francisco 49ers.
