GREEN BAY–The Packers addressed their defensive backfield a second time in this draft, selecting Miami of Ohio defensive back Quinten Rollins with the 62nd overall pick of the draft on Friday night.
Rollins, 5-11, 195, played basketball at Miami for four years and didn’t give football a try until last season. Football came easy for him, winning MAC defensive player of the year. He intercepted seven passes.
He’s viewed as a safety by some teams, largely the result of a 4.57 40 time at the combine, but he has the athletic ability to play cornerback.
The Packers picked Damarious Randall in the first round on Thursday. He played safety at Arizona State but will play cornerback with the Packers.
