Due to the high level of interest in this week’s Packers-Bears game, the Green Bay Packers are reminding fans to take extra care when purchasing game tickets from secondary sources.
The team has received several reports of counterfeit tickets circulating online through unauthorized resellers. Fans are advised to only buy tickets from official sources and team partners such as NFL Ticket Exchange. Ticket Exchange is the only resale ticket marketplace authorized by the Packers, with exclusive ability to electronically verify and reissue every Packers ticket sold. This ensures that tickets are authentic and valid for admission.
Another team partner is Packer Fan Tours, the official tour company of the Packers, which offers tour packages, including home game tickets.
According to the Wisconsin Bureau of Consumer Protection, other ticket sources to consider should be members of the National Association of Ticket Brokers, as these businesses may offer a money-back guarantee if a problem occurs with purchased tickets.
“With the Bears game this Sunday, we understand that many fans will be looking for tickets,” said Mark Wagner, Packers director of ticket operations. “We want to remind them to be wary of potential counterfeit tickets when purchasing online or from someone on the street. We strongly encourage fans to only purchase their tickets from NFL Ticket Exchange or Packer Fan Tours.”
Fans are encouraged to be diligent and do their research before choosing to buy tickets from unofficial sources.
