The Green Bay Packers have signed G Rishaw Johnson to the practice squad. The signing was announced Wednesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.
Johnson (first name is pronounced REE-shaw), a 6-foot-4, 315-pound second-year player out of California University (Pa.), played in three games with one start for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013. He was traded to Tampa Bay by the Chiefs in August 2014 and was on the Buccaneers’ 53-man roster for three games earlier this season. Johnson also spent time on Dallas’ practice squad this season. He entered the league as a non-drafted free agent with the Seahawks in 2012 and spent time on Seattle’s practice squad and active roster that season. Johnson will wear No. 74 for the Packers.
