Reigning NFL MVP and Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was voted No. 2 in the NFL Network's "Top 100 Players of 2015."
The top 10 players were revealed on Wednesday night. The list is compiled solely by a vote of current NFL players.
In winning his second career MVP award in 2014, Rodgers passed for 4,381 yards with 38 touchdowns and just five interceptions. His 112.2 passer rating ranked second in the league and was the second-highest single-season rating of his career, behind only the league-record 122.5 rating in his previous MVP season of 2011.
Rodgers also overcame a pulled calf muscle in December to lead the Packers to key late-season victories over the Lions in Week 17 to win the NFC North title, and over the Cowboys in the NFC divisional playoffs.
Coming off that first MVP, Rodgers was voted No. 1 on the Top 100 list in 2012. His other recent rankings have been No. 11 twice, in 2011 and 2014, and No. 6 in 2013.
Rodgers is the sixth Packers player to make this year's Top 100, joining WR Jordy Nelson (No. 18), LB Clay Matthews (No. 51), RB Eddie Lacy (No. 60), LB Julius Peppers (No. 71) and WR Randall Cobb (No. 100). Cobb was the newcomer to the list, while Lacy and Nelson both reached the highest rankings of their respective careers.
