Adam Korzun has been named the director of performance nutrition for the Green Bay Packers. The announcement was made Sunday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Korzun comes to the Packers after serving as the director of sports nutrition for the University of Oregon athletic department since August 2012. He started working as a sport dietitian for several sports for the United States Olympic Committee in May 2007. In April 2009, he began focusing on the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, and in May 2010, he became the full-time high-performance dietitian for the association.

Korzun has been a consultant for Red Bull High Performance, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cleveland Indians. Early in his career, Korzun worked in different roles for SNAP (Smart Nutrition Application and Practice), Boston Medical Center, Legal Seafoods and Four Seasons Hotel – Boston.

Korzun is a registered dietician with a board certification in sports dietetics. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a bachelor of science in culinary nutrition and A.A.S. culinary arts, and he has a master of science in nutrition, with a focus on exercise physiology, from Boston University.
