The Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Lottery on Monday announced details of this year’s Packers Wisconsin Lottery offering, a raffle game with the top prize a set of four tickets to all 2012 Packers regular-season road games, accommodations included.
This year’s game is the first raffle-style game to be offered by a state lottery and NFL team. Other prizes for the raffle include 75 tailgate ticket packages for two at Lambeau Field and 100 Packers Pro Shop gift cards valued at $300 each.
On sale for a limited time – from Saturday, Oct. 1 through Wednesday, Nov. 2 – the raffle game tickets will be sold for $2 each, or three for $5. Winners will be drawn Nov. 3 and prizes may be redeemed on Friday, Nov. 4.
“We’re excited for a third season of games with the Wisconsin Lottery,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. “We’ve enjoyed seeing fans win tickets to games at Lambeau Field, and now it will be exciting to see a fan win tickets to all our road games in 2012.”
The top prize accommodations include airfare, hotel, game transfers and tailgate party passes. Should the Packers play on the road for the first or second round of the playoffs, two tickets and travel accommodations will be provided. Additionally, should the Packers host any playoff games, the winner will receive four tickets to each home playoff game.
“With just one $2 ticket you could end up traveling everywhere the Packers play next year,” Wisconsin Lottery director Mike Edmonds said. “It’s an incredible price for a truly incredible prize.”
Wisconsin Lottery ticket revenues are returned to the state to help offset property taxes. Last year’s Packers game generated nearly $2 million in tax relief. Previous Packers games included cash prizes, club seats at Lambeau Field, suite prize packages and Packers Pro Shop gift cards.
