GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers added another linebacker to their room on Friday night in drafting Utah State senior Kyler Fackrell with their third-round draft choice (88th overall).
The 6-foot-5, 245-pound pass rusher started all 41 collegiate career with 253 tackles (36 for a loss) with 12 sacks and five forced fumbles.
He missed all but one game during his junior year in 2014 after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in the second quarter of the season-opener against Tennessee.
Fackrell set a single-season school record with 12 quarterback hurries as a senior, including a single-game school record of six against Colorado State on Oct. 3, 2015.
He’s one of just 15 players in school history to earn first-or-second-team all-conference honors three times during a career.
