Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ command of a last-minute, game-winning scoring drive is the Never Say Never Moment of the Week for games played on December 1-5, the NFL announced today. The Never Say Never Moment of the Week is the best moment or play of the week that represents determination and perseverance.
Rodgers came through when it mattered most on Sunday and, in the final minute, was able to preserve the Packers' perfect record through 12 games. With less than a minute to play and the game tied 35-35, the Packers answered the New York Giants' challenge with a quick five-play drive led by Rodgers that set up kicker Mason Crosby's 31-yard game-winning field goal.
This drive was selected from among three moments by voters on NFL.com. The other two moments were the Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow’s second-half surge to down the Minnesota Vikings for a 35-32 road victory, and Arizona Cardinals running back Larod Stephens-Howling’s 52-yard touchdown reception for an overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys.
